HOMELESSNESS

This Mini Collection is meant to bring light to the widespread global epidemic of homelessness. An epidemic that hits closer to home than many of us think. Two percent of the U.S. population is homeless and that number is increasing at a rapid rate. New terms like the working homeless are emerging as a larger number of working class people aren’t making sufficient wages to cover the basic human needs of housing and food. Sleeping on couches and under bridges and in shelters, homeless people have taken on a new face. Most likely the face of someone you know, yet, their circumstances you don’t. One in 30 children in the United States are homeless. Amongst those ages 16-25 were high school students and college students. I’m here to being awareness to this very brave population that struggle day in and day out in our own back yard and possibly start a discussion on how we can be part of the solution.
